Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide contracted therapy services at a public charter high school in Washington, D.C. Providers will deliver services aligned with students’ IEPs or 504 plans and support special education students through individual and group therapy.

• Rate: $50-55/hr

Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Washington, D.C.
• Background check compliant with D.C. School Safety Omnibus Amendment Act of 2018.
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy and IEP/504 development.
• Strong communication, organization, and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or group OT services for students.
• Conduct formal and informal OT assessments and support IEP/504 development.
• Deliver services as outlined in each students IEP or 504 plan (direct, indirect, or consultative).
• Support students with functional post secondary transition goals (organization, stress/time management, etc.).
• Maintain documentation of sessions, evaluations, and communication logs.
• Collaborate with school staff including Special Education Teachers and administrators.
• Attend IEP meetings and conduct weekly check-ins with the school leadership.
• Develop and communicate weekly OT service schedules.
• Follow ethical guidelines, FERPA, IDEA, and all legal requirements for service provision.
• Perform any other duties assigned.
