The Center for Nonprofit Excellence of Middle Tennessee (CNEMT) is a membership-based organization providing programs, services, and other benefits to nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee. As a 38-year-old organization serving over 600 members annually, CNEMT seeks to provide high-quality services directly to members and to elevate the nonprofit community. CNEMT’s mission is to equip and empower nonprofits to excel with a vision of a thriving Middle Tennessee community elevated by the impact of sustainable nonprofits.
Position Summary:
The Chief Programs Officer supports the mission, goals, values, and philosophy of CNEMT by demonstrating the following values: accountability, collaboration, excellence, innovation, integrity, and transparency. As a member of CNEMT’s professional team, the individual’s performance includes the superior demonstration of the following professional attributes: ethical leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and job knowledge. The Chief Programs Officer will lead the execution of programming and learning opportunities for CNEMT, including relevant partnerships and events related to program delivery.

Work Environment:
The position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Frequent off-site meetings and activities are a component of this position. This position does require some evenings and weekends. Reliable transportation is required.
