Student Health Services Nurse

• Pay : Total stipend of $130,000 annually

Qualifications :

1. Valid state-issued School Nurse Certification
2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff
3. Current CPR and First Aid certifications
4. Must clear a criminal background check and provide legal work authorization

Performance Responsibilities :

• Provides ongoing health assessments for students, ensuring compliance with state regulations for health screenings.
• Manages the school’s health services office, including the distribution and administration of medications as prescribed.
• Assists in tracking and maintaining accurate records of student health statuses, vaccinations, and annual physical exams.
• Coordinates with other health professionals to ensure students receive the appropriate medical interventions and follow-up care.
• Leads health education initiatives, developing materials and conducting workshops for students and staff on various health topics.
• Responds to emergencies, assessing the need for medical intervention and providing necessary care.
• Reports incidents of communicable diseases to health officials and provides guidance on proper management within the school.
