  • Support complex aerospace assembly activities, including: bearing and bushing installation, riveting and manual machining operations, application of aircraft sealant, assembly sequencing and precision alignment practices
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM data) to support mechanical assembly validation.
  • Support manufacturing readiness reviews, root cause analyses, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, track, and maintain project documentation—including schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and customer communications.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical and contractual alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Support or contribute to Catia model development and drawing revisions as needed.

Requirements

  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (preferred).
  • Proficiency in GD&T interpretation and application. (required)
  • Experience with Catia or comparable CAD platforms (preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using precision measurement equipment (required)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Education And Work Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, or other Engineering discipline (required).
  • Master’s degree in engineering management or business administration (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in aerospace or defense industry engineering or project management preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical assemblies and complex engineered systems.
  • Competent in the utilization of hand tools, sheet metal assembly, and manual machining
  • Hands-on knowledge of aerospace assembly methods including bearing/bushing fitment, rivet installation, and sealant application
  • Experience evaluating mechanical tolerance stack-ups and systems-of-fit
  • Familiarity with AS9100, DFMEA/PFMEA, and configuration management best practices.
