We are a leading turnkey engineering and construction company specializing in communications infrastructure, working with major carriers and utility providers. Our crews build and maintain the networks that keep communities connected and we’re looking for skilled aerial technicians to join our growing team.

Position Overview:

The Aerial Telecom Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead telecommunications lines, including fiber, coax, and copper. This role involves climbing poles, operating bucket trucks, and working at heights in varying outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, transfer, and maintain aerial telecom cable (fiber, coax, and copper).
  • Climb poles using hooks/gaffs or work from aerial lifts.
  • Lash and de-lash cable, set strand, and install aerial hardware.
  • Perform pole transfers, make-ready, and overlash work per specifications.
  • Read and interpret maps, prints, and work orders.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition.
  • Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Complete daily production and safety reports.


Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in aerial telecom construction preferred (will train qualified candidates).
  • Ability to climb poles safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with lasher operation, strand placement, and cable handling.
  • Knowledge of GO95/GO128, and CPUC rules (preferred but not required).
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) and clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.


Preferred Skills:

  • Bucket truck operation certification.
  • Traffic control/flagging certification.
