This is a remote position. We will consider applicants from the following states: Arizona, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah .

Pay Range: $80,000 annually

Position Summary of the Accounting Manager:

The Accounting Manager will be committed to Bryan's vision and its mission. The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting with the financial close, ensuring that account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately. The Accounting Manager will comply with all Title IV fund regulations and assist with student inquiries as needed.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for period end close.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Maintain necessary working papers related to journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist in preparation of the monthly internal financial statements.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly and yearly forecasts.
  • Analyze accounts aging and reconciliations.
  • Manage and coach accounting team.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Accounting Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or other finance related area preferred.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of accounting experience required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Previous experience in Higher education highly preferred.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Hands-on individual with strong teamwork orientation.
  • Strong Excel Skills (Power Pivot, Power Query, advanced formulas).
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience in using different technology solutions.
  • Previous experience general ledger applications (MS Great Plains preferred).
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating through a PC.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment using software technology including but not limited to Zoom, Google products, Campus Nexus, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Great Plains, QuickBooks, Planful.
  • Ability to sit for six to eight hours.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to travel to the office as required.
