Department Summary:We are seeking an enthusiastic, curious, and detail-oriented Workday Reporting, Senior Analyst to join the People Analytics & Reporting team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining advanced reports and dashboards in Workday to support data-driven decision-making across HR and other business units. This role is critical to enabling MITRE's leadership to make informed, strategic decisions that drive organizational success. By leveraging Workday's reporting capabilities, this individual will ensure MITRE's HR team is equipped with accurate, actionable insights that align with enterprise goals and priorities, fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making. MITRE is seeking an inquisitive professional with strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of Workday's reporting capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to partner with cross-functional teams. This position plays a key role in elevating MITRE's people analytics strategy and ensuring HR data is a trusted resource for decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: + Partner with the Manager, People Analytics & Reporting to develop metrics, reports, and presentations that measure HR performance and outcomes. + Act as the reporting lead for all Workday-related reporting projects, including bi-annual upgrades, new SKU implementations, and integrations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with enterprise priorities. + Ensure data integrity and accuracy in reports and dashboards and partner with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to identify, diagnose, and resolve discrepancies. + Serve as a trusted reporting advisor to HR Centers of Excellence, providing insights and recommendations that influence enterprise-wide talent initiatives. + Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and deliver insights that shape workforce strategies, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. + Develop, maintain, and optimize Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports and calculated fields in Workday across various HR modules (e.g., Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Compensation, Absence) to provide actionable insights that align with MITRE's strategic objectives. + Provide end-user support and training for Workday reporting tools to enhance self-service capabilities and empower HR and business leaders to access and utilize data independently. + Monitor Workday releases and assess their impact on existing reports, updating and/or rebuilding reports as needed to ensure continued functionality and alignment with MITRE's evolving needs. + Collaborate with stakeholders across MITRE's enterprise to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions that drive business outcomes. + Collaborate with HRIT, IT, and business leaders to support strategic initiatives through data analysis as well as third-party vendors and consultants (e.g., Invisors) to leverage external expertise. + Perform ad-hoc data extraction and reporting requests in a timely manner to support urgent business needs and decision-making. + Maintain documentation for reports and reporting processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with MITRE's data governance standards. Basic Qualifications: + Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. + Experienced in Workday reporting and analytics to deliver accurate and actionable insights. + Experience working within or supporting a Human Resource organization or Center of Excellence (COE). + Skilled in creating, editing, modifying, and optimizing calculated fields to enhance data analysis and performance. + Possesses a strong understanding of HR data and metrics to drive informed decision-making. + Proficient in analyzing and interpreting large data sets to effectively communicate insights and meaningful narratives. + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. + Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. + This position requires a minimum of 50% on-site. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Human Resources, or related field. + Proficient in Workday Report Writer, Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, and Discovery Boards. + Experience with Workday Prism. + Workday Pro or Workday Reporting Certification. + Experience in global reporting environments with multiple business units.
