**Job Title: Pipefitter** **Job Description** Join our team as a Pipefitter, where you will be working at a steel fabricator performing essential fitting duties. Your role will involve structural steel fitting, flux core welding, and pipefitting tasks. A crucial part of this position is the ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch and lift up to 50 pounds. You will also engage in tack welding and other related tasks. **Responsibilities** + Perform structural steel fitting and pipefitting duties. + Execute flux core welding tasks. + Read and interpret tape measures accurately to the 1/16th of an inch. + Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds. + Conduct tack welding as required. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting. + Proficiency in blueprint reading and welding techniques including flux core, MIG, and TIG welding. + Experience with stainless steel, structural steel, and carbon steel. + Ability to use hand tools and read blueprints effectively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with sheet metal, pulse MIG, and aluminum welding. + Familiarity with mechanical and AWS standards. **Why Work Here?** Be part of a team where your skills in fabrication and welding are valued and developed. The role is based in a steel fabrication facility where safety and precision are key. Dress appropriately for an industrial setting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
