Job DescriptionTREC Specialist provides administrative support for the TREC program. Under general supervision, this position compiles, reviews and maintains a variety of fiscal and program records, written materials and reports using multiple procedures, typing, computer and technical program knowledge. Moreover, TREC Specialist maintains special databases, mailing lists and manuals, writes general correspondence, provides technical advice to other office staff, and processes applications, registration, and file financial aid documentation.Minimum QualificationsKnowledge of word processing software, such as Microsoft Office.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to deal tactfully with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner.Skills in public speaking and group presentation.Experience in data entry in order to maintain and update database records in a timely manner.Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to identify and clarify problems or issues, to prepare and execute possible solutions under the direction of a supervisor.Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency.
