Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Teradata Developer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid) . The candidate will be responsible for supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, while ensuring change management and compliance with enterprise standards.

 

Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Teradata Developer job responsibilities include:

• Developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications within the Financial Crimes technology space to achieve business goals.

• Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs, ensuring the proper functionality of the application.

• Collaborating with business partners to define system application requirements.

• Contributing to story refinement, estimating work, and supporting the full development lifecycle.

• Setting up and automating continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.

• Handling technical aspects of the application, including change management, platform upgrades, and interfacing application changes.

• Sourcing and analyzing data, creating innovative data provisioning models, and working with a team to ensure best practices are followed.

• Ensuring compliance with Enterprise Change Standards while following Agile methodologies.

• Communicating deliverables and timelines effectively with managers, peers, and business partners.

Desired Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

• 4+ years of experience with end-to-end application development on Teradata data warehouse and analytical platforms, and 2+ years of experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and PySpark.

• Extensive experience with Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities (bteq, tpt, fastexport).

• Proficiency with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Python/Spark/PySpark) and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Pay Details:

$65.00 to $68.00 per hour
