Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing state and local tax returns, providing tax planning services, and assisting with special tax projects. As the first reviewer of others' work, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of tax compliance and accuracy. You will report directly to the Tax Director and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to support our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review state and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Research and interpret state and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Provide expert tax planning and consulting services to clients.
Assist with tax audits and appeals, guiding clients through the process.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA certification is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in tax accounting.
In-depth knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficient in tax software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:
At least 3 years of tax experience (preferred).
License/Certification:
CPA (preferred).
