Job Description

Substance Abuse Counselor - Fremont

Center Point is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals with a desire to join our exciting team as Certified SUD / AOD Counselors at our Substance Use Access and Referral Call Center in Fremont, CA.

About the Position:

As a Certified SUD / AOD / Substance Abuse Counselor you will support the community by delivering Telehealth Customer services in the form of Assessment/Referral and Care Navigation, Information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.

Duties:

  • Develop a treatment alliance with participants that is mutual, collaborative, individualized, and responsive to all parties changing needs.


Minimum Qualifications:

SUD / AOD / Substance Abuse Counselors must meet one (1) of the following minimum requirements: 

Assessment Specialist SUD Counselor (must meet one (1) of the following requirements):

  • AOD certified and one (1) to two (2) years of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor. Fewer years of experience is required depending on the level of education.
  • Fewer than one (1) years of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor; or
  • Registered with an AOD certifying organization recognized by DHCS, enrolled in AOD education classes, and six (6) months of experience providing CBI services.


Pay:

  • $28/hr (Registered Counselor).
  • $33/hr (Certified Counselor).
