Structural Steel and Misc. Metals Estimator

Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metal Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for both structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects, along with a keen attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate and competitive bids.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and bid proposals.
• Maintain updated pricing databases for materials and labor rates.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate project conditions and requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Preferred experience in Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
