Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Budget Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position involves managing a substantial budget and contributing to the financial oversight of various projects and operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in budgeting processes and forecasting while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a budget totaling approximately $60 million, including allocations for capital projects, engineering, grounds, and auxiliary services.
- Monitor and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with operational budgets and organizational policies.
- Review and approve invoices for payment, track payroll expenses, and assess job vacancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Upload and audit P-card transactions to ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Conduct detailed forecasting to anticipate future financial needs and support strategic planning.
- Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting budget performance and variances between actual and projected figures.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
- Analyze and monitor budgetary performance, identifying areas for optimization and cost savings.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of financial data, aligning with organizational objectives. Requirements - Proven expertise in managing and monitoring complex budgets, including annual operating budgets.
- Strong knowledge of budget processes and forecasting techniques.
- Experience in financial reporting and reconciliation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in tracking payroll, reviewing invoices, and managing P-card transactions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate financial insights.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with tools and software used for budgeting and financial management.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
