As a Software Engineer on the Esports Platform & Experiences Team, you will build and maintain player-facing products. This includes sites like LoLEsports, ValorantEsports, Pick’Em and the rest of our properties. You will work on a team alongside Product Managers, Designers and other Engineers across esports. Every single product you work on is created with our fans in mind, and was built to amplify our live-events such as Worlds & VALORANT Champions.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with designers to bring new features and products to live
• Design and build efficient and reusable frontend systems that drive fandom products
• Integrate with Esports & Riot Services to link together player journeys across our entire ecosystems, tying into the game itself.
• Quickly iterate on prototypes and new areas to find feasible solutions for the products we are building
• Take part in planning and scoping exercises

Required Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience working with real-life, user-facing applications
• Hands-on programming experience with Typescript, React & CSS-in-JS paradigms
• You have a good understanding of modern web architecture and technologies
• Willingness to learn and grow your own skill set. Our industry evolves fast, and paradigms change over time. 
• Experience with management tools such as Jira or GitHub

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience with GraphQL
• Real-Life Experience using modern Web Frameworks, such as NextJS, Remix or SvelteKit
• Serverless & Edge environments are something that excites you
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

These duties are directly related to essential operations, safety, trust, and compliance obligations within our organization. • (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $129,800.00 - $181,700.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
