What you’ll be working on:

  • Platform Upkeep and Administration: Assist in the upkeep and administration of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it is up-to-date, secure, and performing optimally, including upgrade planning, security patches, plugin updates, and clone scheduling.
  • Queue Monitoring and Response: Monitor various help channels and ticket queues, providing first-line support work for incidents, catalog tasks, data exception tasks, etc.
  • Front Line Support Work: Handle day-to-day incidents, catalog tasks, and data exception tasks, escalating complex issues to the development team as needed.
  • Defect Management: Draft and manage defects, working with the team to convert them into stories, and collaborate with others to address issues.
  • ServiceNow Support Tickets: Create and manage ServiceNow support tickets to ensure efficient and timely resolution of platform-related issues.
  • Weekly Release Change Requests: Manage weekly release change requests to ensure smooth and controlled updates to the platform.
  • Development of Deliverables: Develop simple, repeatable deliverables such as catalog items, visibility rules, and knowledge base articles (KBAs) to support ongoing ServiceNow operations.
  • Incidents and Problem Management: Assist in managing and resolving incidents and problems within ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to ITIL best practices.
  • Integration: Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and tools, ensuring data consistency and seamless information flow.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, customizations, and development work to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Security and Compliance: Assist in ensuring the security and compliance of ServiceNow instances, including access controls, role management, and auditing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, best practices, and industry trends to contribute to the improvement of our ServiceNow environment.
