Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Under general supervision performs ECGs, Holter monitors and data management. Must have knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias. Required to possess technical knowledge and clinical expertise to perform electrocardiograms, Holter monitor testing and data management. The Senior EKG technologist is responsible for Holter monitor scanning and assisting in the stress lab when needed. Is the superuser for the ECG management system data base, processes and teaches the physicians to read ECGs online.

Required Qualifications: - Understanding of medical terminology, infectious control techniques and age related acuity levels
- Minimum three years of EKG experience in the acute care setting
- Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias
- Experience in recognition of arrhythmia
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of Title 22 and JCAHO standards
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- Ability to instruct others in the use of equipment and performance of procedures
