Ampion is a leading national provider of Community Solar to businesses and residents, allowing them to support clean energy and save money on electricity costs. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maine SMB Sales Executive to join our growing sales team. This is an outside sales role based in Maine, with a primary focus on the Bangor and Downeast market that will help Ampion expand its small-medium business customer segment. The role will own the entire sales cycle by opening and closing business accounts.

By joining our Direct Sales team, you’ll be surrounded by energy and sales experts, have the support of our industry-leading software, and have access to our in-depth lead and market data, sales best practices, playbooks, and collateral to help you grow and thrive in this role. We’re excited to find the next ChAmpion to join our sales team!

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, through consistent outreach.
  • Drive new business by engaging with small and medium-sized businesses across Maine.
  • Conduct high-volume prospecting through cold calls, walk-ins, and networking to generate leads.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers through in-person sales interactions educating them on our product and guiding them through the enrollment process.
  • Maintain detailed records of leads, interactions, and sales progress in our CRM.
  • Work independently to manage your schedule and sales pipeline while collaborating with the broader sales team.

Qualifications

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • A proven track record in outside sales, field sales, or door-to-door sales is a plus.
  • Comfortable with high-volume prospecting and face-to-face sales interactions.
  • Determined, creative, and resourceful in generating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with decision-makers.
  • Organized, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and follow through effectively.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Passionate about clean energy and eager to help local businesses save on their electricity costs.
