The Opportunity
InCharge Energy is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented
Sales Engineer to drive business growth by understanding customer needs and delivering tailored technical solutions. As part of the Sales team, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to articulate the value of our cutting-edge products and services, including EV charging infrastructure and software solutions, in the Western Canada region. This role is critical to advancing our mission of supporting clients in their transition to electrified fleets and meeting emissions-reduction goals.
The Sales Engineer will ideally have a strong technical background and experience in solutions-driven sales. You'll join a high-performing team where relationship-building skills and technical expertise are paramount to success.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and align customer needs with product offerings, providing tailored solutions to meet business challenges.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations that showcase our offerings' technical value.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to identify and qualify new opportunities and enhance existing client relationships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to dealership groups and fleet customers, guiding them through the adoption of EV charging solutions, hardware, fleet software, and renewable energy options.
- Negotiate and close contracts, contributing to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Provide pre- and post-sales support through technical troubleshooting, answering inquiries, and facilitating training.
- Maintain and update client information in Salesforce, utilizing CRM tools for effective client management.
- Contribute to market insights, providing feedback to product development and marketing teams on customer needs and trends.
Your Experience And Capabilities - Bachelor's degree in engineering or certification as a licensed Electrician, or 7+ years of relevant EV Charging work experience.
- 2+ years in technical sales or a related role with a focus on client-driven solutions.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools, with proficiency in client information management and sales forecasting.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build strong, trust-based relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a history of identifying client needs and delivering innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness to travel 25% or more to meet business and client needs.
US Salary Range
$130,000—$160,000 USD
