Job Title: Quality Control Auditor
Position Summary: Quality Control Auditor role is responsible for conducting in-depth reviews for both Pre-Funding and Post-Closing quality control audits. Confirmation of mortgage loans comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices. Ensuring to uphold the integrity of Kind Lending's mortgage lending.
Location: Santa Ana, CA - In office. Possibility to transition to hybrid work from home up to 2 days per week.
Pay Disclosure: The starting base salary rage for this position is $24.00 - $31.63 per hour. Compensation is based on current industry competitive salary ranges. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Responsibilities: Perform reviews of loans selected for both Pre-Funding and Post-Closing audits to confirm prudent underwriting judgement was utilized for loan approval.
Confirmation that all loans are complying with strict compliance regulations, both federal and state, as well as industry guidelines and company policies.
Utilization of advance risk assessment techniques for identifying potential fraud, misrepresentation, or compliance violations.
Verify all income/employment, assets, and appraisal utilized for loan approval are complete and accurate. Data integrity review and recalculation of qualifying income, debt ratios along with loan to value ratios alight with underwriting decisions.
Collaboration with quality control management to help improve high- quality standards, accuracy, and consistency with loan decisions.
Staying abreast with mortgage lending regulations, compliance changes, and industry trends while applying the knowledge to the audit process.
Competencies: - Extensive experience within a mortgage quality control auditing and/or underwriting role for a minimum of 5 years.
- Recent Non-QM Underwriting or Quality Control auditing experience a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending and compliance requirements, including TRID, RESPA, TILA, and FHFA.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires team player mentality, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting our Kind Culture.
Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S. without a visa sponsorship.
Other Duties: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-orientated environment. Must be able to provide a kind and friendly approach while remaining professional.
