Pay Range: $120,000 -$190,000

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Nurse is responsible for performing duties independently, following established and standardized procedures and methods. The APN is responsible to provide psychiatric services for patients, across the age continuum, at RWJBH locations. The RWJBH Transfer Center may assist with communications from the facility to the provider. This position may be from a remote location via computer/phone

Certification and Licensure:

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Certification
• APN License
• Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license
• CDS and DEA

Required:

• 3-5 years of work experience in psychiatric emergency crisis management or in patient psychiatry in an emergency department hospital setting

Shift:

• Full time 
• M-F
• 12am-8am

Essential Functions: 

• Entering admission orders for involuntary and voluntary patients
• Telepsych evaluation for potential commitment  
• Completion of involuntary commitment paperwork
• Patient presentation and discharge discussions for PESS patients 
• Medication order requests as needed for PESS and inpatient patients
