Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a passion for baking and pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, and plating a variety of breads, cakes, cookies, and other desserts, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of house-made breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts according to restaurant recipes and standards.

• Maintain mise en place and ensure product freshness and quality at all times.

• Operate and maintain bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently.

• Monitor ingredient inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or restaurant setting (Italian pastry experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of bread baking, pastry techniques, and dessert plating.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in product quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a passion for the culinary arts.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary or pastry degree or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements

•Able to perform the essential functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting quality standards.

•Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards

•Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

•Must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently.
