Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

Focal Point Medical Staffing is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) for per diem (PRN) positions at one of our Assisted Living partners in Shenandoah, TX! See below for full details and benefits.

Hourly Pay: $12/hr

Schedule/Shifts: 6a-6p; 6p-6a

Same-day pay options are available with access to up to 50% of your earnings right after your shift, before payday!

Position Requirements:

• Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card)
• FULLY VACCINATED COVID CARD REQUIRED
• Most recent Negative PPD (within the last 12 months) OR Chest X-ray (within the last 5 years)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Reliable transportation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily needs, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene
• Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose, and other patient information as directed
• Administer medications to patients as prescribed by the physician or nurse
• Assist patients in therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
• Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner

Working Conditions: The PCA will be required to work in a healthcare facility, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The job may require lifting and moving patients or heavy equipment. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
