Founded nearly four years ago, Launch Legends is at the forefront of bridging Web3 blockchain technology with the next evolution of Web2 integration—bringing businesses on-chain through enterprise-grade solutions, DePIN innovations, and decentralized financial infrastructure.

Our flagship project, Autheo , is an AI enabled Layer-Zero OS with an integrated Layer-1 blockchain and complete decentralized infrastructure thast includes decentralized compute, storage, identity, and service marketplaces, as well as a Full-stack development enveronment (DevHub)—engineered for scalable enterprise adoption, developer innovation, and real-world blockchain integration.

Compensation & Growth Path
This is a part time equity / token-based cofounder opportunity. You will receive equity in Launch Legends , Autheo , and the WFO Creator Network , along with token allocations in the Autheo blockchain. We have already completed an initial financing round to support infrastructure and marketing, and are currently in discussions with VCs and crypto investors to fund expansion and salaries. Salaried compensation is expected to begin within 4 to 5 months, following our node, token sales or funding.

ROLE—Patent Attorney – Blockchain & Advanced Technology

Autheo is developing breakthrough innovations across decentralized infrastructure, Layer-0/Layer-1 blockchain systems, AI-native developer platforms, cryptography, DePIN, quantum-secure technologies, and next-generation compute architectures. We are seeking a highly experienced Patent Attorney with a strong background in blockchain, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, cryptography, and emerging technologies. This role will lead thedrafting of patents for our core intellectual property across software, hardware, cryptographic protocols, AI systems, decentralized cloud, and advanced compute.

This is a senior role requiring a minimum of five years of experience drafting provisional and non-provisional patents , including managing patent portfolios for complex technical organizations.

Responsibilities

1. Patent Strategy & Portfolio Development
   • Develop and execute a comprehensive IP strategy aligned with Autheo’s blockchain, DePIN, and decentralized compute roadmap.
   • Conduct invention harvesting sessions with engineering, research, cryptography, and product teams.
   • Translate technical breakthroughs into patentable claims that protect long-term competitive advantage.

2. Drafting & Filing of Patents (Provisional & Non-Provisional)
   • Prepare, draft, and file high-quality provisional and non-provisional patent applications.
   • Draft precise claims for software systems, decentralized architectures, cryptographic protocols, quantum-resistant technologies, and hardware-software integrations.
   • Manage rapid-cycle filings to support aggressive innovation timelines.

3. Technical Analysis & Prior Art Research
   • Conduct deep technical prior art research in blockchain, cryptography, distributed systems, AI, and cloud-native architectures.
   • Evaluate patentability of new inventions and identify strategic areas for defensive publications.
   • Monitor competitor patents and industry IP trends.

4. Cross-Department Collaboration
   • Work closely with engineering, cryptography researchers, DevOps/DePIN teams, AI/ML specialists, and product leadership.
   • Translate highly technical concepts into accurate legal language while ensuring engineering intent remains intact.
   • Support commercial teams with IP-related documentation for funding, partnerships, and due diligence.

5. Risk Management & Legal Guidance
   • Assess potential infringement risks and advise leadership on mitigation strategies.
   • Establish internal processes for documenting inventions, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring clean-room procedures when appropriate.
   • Advise on licensing, open-source compliance, and IP ownership for contributors and cofounders.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience drafting and filing provisional and non-provisional patents for software, cloud, cryptography, or blockchain technologies.
• JD from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
• USPTO Patent Bar registration.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, cryptographic protocols, distributed systems, cloud computing, or decentralized infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, technically deep patent claims for complex emerging technologies.
• Experience managing a patent portfolio for a high-innovation tech company or research organization.

Preferred

• Experience in Layer-0/Layer-1 blockchain systems (Cosmos SDK, EVM, consensus protocols, DAGs).
• Background in cryptography, PQC, AI systems, WASM, distributed compute, or DePIN.
• Background in Infrastructure, Cloud or DevOps
• Familiarity with international patent strategies, PCT, and multi-jurisdiction filings.
• Prior experience supporting startups or fast-moving R&D teams.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field.

• Ability to collaborate with deeply technical teams and communicate effectively across disciplines.
• Strong strategic thinking in protecting highly complex intellectual property.
