Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a Float Teacher to join our organization! This individual will present age appropriate activities for children. This position would be Monday through Friday 3:30pm-5:00pm with possible extra hours when needed.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Float between different rooms as needed.
• Instruct children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Candidates should be comfortable working with children ranging from infants-5 years old. If you love little children and want to help them learn and grow, this is a great job for you. We have great families and a wonderful staff to work with. Hourly pay rate is based on education and experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred but not required
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required

Living Christ Preschool is a mission of Living Christ Lutheran Church in Madison, Wisconsin. We are a small, faith-based center. The mission of Living Christ Preschool is to minister to children's spiritual, social, academic and physical needs through our loving environment and the sharing of God's Word each day.
