Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a team of attorneys in a dynamic litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance defense and/or product liability, with strong experience managing case files, assisting in trial prep, and handling electronic court filings. This position offers a hybrid work model (one day remote) following a 90-day onsite probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other databases
• E-file documents in state and federal courts using platforms such as Odyssey and PACER
• Coordinate scheduling for depositions, court appearances, and meetings
• Manage discovery processes, document production, and litigation databases (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, Disco)
• Organize case files and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist attorneys with trial prep, including creating witness and trial binders, and managing courtroom logistics
• Communicate with expert witnesses, track FOIA requests, and prepare privilege logs
• Prepare insurance coverage charts and summaries of claims
• Maintain and analyze legal records, spreadsheets, and reports
• Track billable hours with a minimum requirement of 1200/month

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
• Experience in general litigation; insurance defense or product liability preferred
• Proficiency with legal software and e-filing systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage confidential matters with discretion
• Comfortable working under pressure and prioritizing multiple deadlines
• Ability to occasionally work overtime or travel for extended trial support
