Practice Model: 100% Elective Spine Surgery | No Trauma | No ER Coverage

Position Overview

A thriving private orthopedic group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join its growing surgical team. This role focuses entirely on elective spine procedures , offering autonomy, stability, and a highly efficient clinical environment — with no trauma or ER responsibilities .

You’ll have access to in-house imaging, physical therapy, and APP support, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for patients and a streamlined workflow for surgeons. Clinical Structure

  • Clinic Days: 2 per week
  • Surgery Days: 2–3 per week (guaranteed OR block time)
  • Call: 1:3, limited to your own patient panel with APP support
  • Practice Environment: Private orthopedic setting with on-site diagnostics, rehab, and administrative support

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $400,000 – $650,000 (based on experience)

Incentives: RVU-based bonus plan

Sign-On / Relocation: Available and customized based on candidate needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat complex spinal disorders including degenerative, deformity, and structural conditions
  • Perform elective spine surgeries such as fusions, decompressions, discectomies, and minimally invasive procedures
  • Lead patient care through pre-op evaluations, surgical execution, and post-op follow-up
  • Collaborate closely with in-house rehab and clinical teams to optimize recovery outcomes
  • Accurately document patient encounters, surgical notes, and outcomes in the EMR
  • Support ongoing quality improvement and contribute to practice development initiatives

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency
  • Fellowship-trained in Spine Surgery (required)
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Arizona
  • Skilled in elective and minimally invasive spine procedures
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
