The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
This role is responsible for coordinating recruiting efforts across assigned locations and /or departments for a variety of administrative through mid-level management positions throughout the organization. Processes job requisitions, sources and evaluates candidates, advises hiring managers, extends offers, coordinates relocations and conducts orientations. Responsible for administering the college relations and Summer Internship Program.
Job Responsibilities
- Processes job requisitions for assigned vacancies. Determines and executes appropriate advertising/social media outlets to source candidates for open positions, builds a robust candidate pipeline that is aligned with affirmative action goals and utilization benchmarks.
- Reviews all applications and resumes, utilizing the applicant tracking system (ATS); contacts qualified candidates to schedule interviews. Conducts telephone or in person screening interviews.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with hiring managers. Recommends and refers qualified candidates to hiring manager. Schedules and coordinates on-site interviews.
- Extends employment offers, drafts offer letters, coordinates drug screens and background checks.
- Performs orientation for Corporate new hires; maintains up to date orientation materials for site locations.
- Administers the summer internship program by organizing all logistics associated with on-campus activities at target schools, including career fair attendance, information sessions and presentations with key clubs; effectively communicates career opportunities, corporate benefits, and company culture.
- Evaluates student's qualifications and conducts interviews; Recommends candidates for placement in internship positions. Maintains communication with prospective interns during school year. Coordinates temporary housing arrangements for out of state interns.
- Plans and organizes Corporate Intern Welcome Day and Final Presentation Day. Coordinates with Plant and Corporate intern managers to develop and finalize project plans and communicates plans to prospective interns.
- Represents the HR department on OSI Outreach Team. Responsible for coordinating all volunteer outreach events. Serves as primary contact with volunteer service agencies. Publicizes and coordinates all volunteerism events, reports results and identifies other avenues for volunteerism events. Writes and publishes quarterly Outreach newsletter.
- Interprets and disseminates Corporate HR Policy information to operating locations in response to field inquiries.
- Responsible for maintaining various records, files and reports.
- This role has the responsibility to understand and place in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively, as well as work on several open requisitions simultaneously
- Experience with various sourcing strategies in a recruitment environment, including direct sourcing, networking, referrals, social media, professional associations and alumni groups.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
Education
- BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
Work Environment
- Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
- Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
- This role requires 30% domestic travel.
- Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Position may require frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
