Job Summary

Responsible for performing independent audits of all departments involved in nuclear safety, including operations, maintenance, engineering, radiation protection, chemistry, security, emergency preparedness, training, procurement, and selected other activities, including personnel performance at PSEG Nuclear.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares, plans and schedules for the conduct of audits and surveillances.
  • Reviews documents, witnesses the performance of audited activities, prepares checklists and agendas for audit, performs audits and assessments of performance, conducts pre-and post-audit interviews, and prepares final audit reports.
  • Ensure and documents that corrective actions are taken based on reported findings.
  • Reviews organization's QA manual and implementing procedures to verify compliance with industry codes and standards,
  • NRC regulations and regulatory commitments.
  • Assess performance to INPO's Performance Objectives and Criteria (PO&C) (INPO 12-013) and effectiveness of accomplishing the intended results of plant activities. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of NRC regulations and industry codes and standards
  • Position may require travel up to (40%-50%) of the time. 

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • BS Degree, in lieu of degree 6 years of experience in nuclear or commercial power technology experience.
  • Ability to meet Nuclear Access. PWR or BWR operating plant experience Required.
  • Demonstrated investigative abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the experience level to quickly obtain Auditor, Audit Team Leder, and QC/QV certifications.
  • Must meet Nuclear's requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.

 

DESIRED :

  • MS Degree, current or previous SRO license or certification.
  • Auditor or ATL Certification.
