Mid-level Scrum Master BNA2189

Work arrangement: Onsite

Location: Wilmington, DE (Onsite Only)

Duration: 6 months (1,032 hours total)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Employment Type: W-2 contract only. No 1099 or Corp-to-Corp arrangements permitted.



Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Mid-level Scrum Master to support multiple Agile teams within a dynamic enterprise environment. The ideal candidate brings strong facilitation, mentoring, and delivery-focused leadership to cross-functional teams of varying Agile maturity. This role demands strong emotional intelligence, the ability to influence without authority, and a servant-leader mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide two or more Agile teams simultaneously through Scrum, Kanban, and XP practices.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Utilize a broad knowledge base of Agile practices including user stories, retrospectives, story mapping, Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, pairing, and information radiators to help create high-performing teams.
  • Promote transparency through information radiators and Agile metrics.
  • Address and escalate blockers that impede team progress.
  • Foster a culture of self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other Agile leaders to evolve enterprise agility practices.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and encourage Agile learning across the team.
  • Drive adoption of Agile frameworks while balancing team autonomy and organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and control standards as set by the client.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4 years on Agile teams, with at least 2 years as a dedicated Scrum Master.
  • In lieu of a degree, 8 years of combined experience including 4 years on Agile teams and 2 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Deep facilitation, team coaching, and delivery ownership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams and navigate diverse Agile maturity levels.
  • Experience leading Agile initiatives in technical and cross-functional settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking and Lean principles.
  • Experience in at least two technology-focused team roles (e.g., developer, QA, BA, UX, PM).
  • Background in digital product delivery and Agile transformation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated influence in a matrixed environment.

Additional Information:

  • Onsite presence is required (this is not a remote role).
  • Occasional early-morning hours may be needed to support teams or stakeholders.
