Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and empathetic Physician Assistant with a background in mental health to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical foundation, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional care to individuals facing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to determine diagnoses and formulate treatment plans.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Prescribe and manage medication regimens, monitoring patient responses and making adjustments as necessary.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment planning.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of [State].
Experience or interest in mental health and psychiatry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Empathy and dedication to providing patient-centered care.
