Job Purpose/Function:

Bridgeport, Connecticut, situated along the picturesque Long Island Sound, is a vibrant and diverse community rich in cultural heritage. Historically recognized as a transportation hub with strong industrial roots, Bridgeport has continually attracted families seeking better opportunities and a brighter future. Today, the city thrives with a dynamic arts scene, various recreational activities, beautiful seaside attractions, and the stunning Seaside Park, designed by the renowned Frederick Law Olmsted, creator of Central Park. With its lively atmosphere filled with energy, color, and an indomitable spirit, Bridgeport is a community that inspires.

This vibrant city also faces significant challenges, particularly among its youth. Many children grow up in distressing circumstances—confronted by poverty, struggling with underperforming schools, or navigating unstable home environments—all of which pose serious risks to their mental health.

It's all too common for these children to endure multiple traumatic experiences before reaching adulthood.

Commit to change this narrative. As a community-based nonprofit and licensed outpatient psychiatric facility, we seek a passionate and highly qualified child and adolescent psychiatrist to step into the role of Medical Director. This is a
