About the Position:
The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a passionate Medical Coding and Billing Revenue Management Adjunct Instructor to deliver engaging and effective instruction to students in the Medical Billing & Coding/Coding & Revenue Cycle Management program. In this role, you will prepare and deliver core curriculum, provide real-world insights, and foster a dynamic learning environment. Your instruction will empower students to develop proficiency in medical billing and coding, master medical management software, and prepare for the Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist (NRCCS) Certification Examination.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver competency-based, learner-centered education through online instruction.
• Teach key topics, including current CPT, HCPCS, and ICD code sets, medical billing processes, and documentation procedures.
• Facilitate the development of essential skills in medical billing and coding and the use of medical management software.
• Ensure students are prepared for the Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist (NRCCS) Certification Examination.
• Monitor lesson plans, ensure compliance with academic policies, and provide constructive feedback.
• Uphold compliance with ABHES, state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and student success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of occupational experience as a medical billing or coding specialist.
• Current Coding Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and instructional skills.
