Job Description
Are you an experienced IT Project Manager looking for a highly impactful role in the cybersecurity field? We're seeking a motivated professional to lead critical projects supporting national security efforts. This is a mostly remote position with pre-planned travel to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for on-site collaboration and training up to one week per month (Sunday-Thursday).
Compensation Range: $155,000-$190,000 per year
What You'll Do
As an IT Project Manager, you'll take the lead on managing multiple cybersecurity IT projects. Your work will ensure the protection of critical infrastructure, reduce risk, and contribute to organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and managing cybersecurity IT projects from start to finish.
Embedding cybersecurity into IT projects to protect critical assets.
Tracking project progress, communicating updates, and demonstrating project value.
Collaborating with departments, business unit managers, and project teams to deliver results.
Developing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, communication strategies, risk mitigation approaches, and test plans.
What You Bring
Security Clearance:
A current DOE Q clearance or DoD, DHS, or IC Top Secret security clearance is required.
Experience:
5-10 years of hands-on IT Project Management experience.
Proven ability to deliver cloud-enabling capabilities.
Strong familiarity with the responsibilities outlined above.
Education & Certifications:
Associate degree in a technical field with 10 years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
Direct experience in IT Project Management for classified cybersecurity operations is highly valued.
PMP and Agile certifications are preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
Strong grasp of project management methodologies, operational planning, and IT security principles.
Knowledge of cloud computing, procurement principles, and life cycle management.
Exceptional skills in team building, collaboration, and stakeholder communication.
Ability to perform requirements analysis, audits, and supply chain risk identification.
