Old Redford Academy is hiring an Instructional Coach . Must have secondary teacher certification.
Old Redford Academy has new leadership, new direction and a new commitment to academic excellence. The academy is a tuition free, Pre-K to 12th grade academy that offers highly qualified teachers, free transportation, one-to-one student technology, an expansive athletic program, and a rigorous curriculum that is both standards based and culturally responsive.
Qualification:
Work with school turnaround network to assess needs and integrate multi-tiered systems of support for teachers, including coaching in-school teams on analysis of data
Develop and model high quality lessons and units for teachers
Coach one-on-one in high needs classrooms, building and maintaining confidential relationships
Provide training and support with implementation of a comprehensive system of instruction
Serve as a source for the development and delivery of professional development activities related to research-based strategies and interventions for teachers
Implement creative methods of instruction/coaching (exercises and activities) that will help students learn and improve their academic performance in their classes
Support the integration of technology in effective instruction
Demonstrate a confident working knowledge of assigned content area(s) including appropriate instructional strategies, available resources and the use of technology to enhance instruction and organization
Participate in school improvement activities focused on instructional practices and based on student outcomes
Stay informed on the current research and recommendations relevant to the coaching role
