Overview of the Role:

Join an elite team in providing life-saving medical transportation services. You'll operate under CAMTS guidelines as a Helicopter Captain Pilot in Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations. Your expertise as a Captain H145 IFR/NVG pilot will be critical in executing 24-hour operations that require day/night rotations. This role calls for a dedicated professional ready to make real-time decisions that directly impact patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Command H145 IFR/NVG helicopters with precision in varied flight conditions
  • Execute 24/7 operations with day and night duty rotations
  • Drive community outreach initiatives and adhere to internal policies
  • Support and advance company safety campaigns, including the Safety Management System and Destination Zero
  • Perform loading and unloading of patients and equipment
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers, ensuring a safe and reliable experience

 

Requirements:

  • Hold a VE7A certificate and First Class Medical qualification
  • Obtain ATP within 12 months from the start date
  • Meet the CAMTS requirements:
    • 2,000 total hours
    • 1,500 helicopter hours
    • 1,000 PIC helicopter hours
    • 500 turbine helicopter hours
    • 100 unaided night operations hours
    • 100 combined NVG plus unaided night operations hours
  • Maintain body weight under 235 pounds
  • Exhibit strong communication and customer service skills
  • Pass a pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check
  • Interview and receive acceptance from customer/management
