Location: Madison, IN | Sign-On Bonus: Up to $75,000 | Location Bonus: Up to 12.5%

About the Role

Total Aviation Staffing is seeking a VFR Pilot to join a leading air medical transport provider in Madison, Indiana. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine your aviation expertise with life-saving missions. As a VFR Pilot, you will be a crucial part of a team that delivers critical care with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a BH407 VFR/NVG helicopter under CAMTS guidelines.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide safe, reliable, and efficient medical transport services.
• Support the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and participate in safety campaigns such as Destination Zero .
• Assist with the loading and unloading of patients and equipment as required.
• Actively engage in community outreach programs while adhering to company policies and operational protocols.

Qualifications

• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Commercial Helicopter License with Instrument Rating.
  • First Class Medical Certification.
• Flight Experience:
  • Minimum 2,000 total flight hours (1,500 helicopter, 1,000 PIC helicopter, 500 turbine helicopter).
  • 100 hours of unaided night operations (or 50 unaided + 100 NVG hours).
• Other Requirements:
  • Must meet body weight limit of 235 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs for loading and unloading assistance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must live within a 1-hour commute from the base.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.

Compensation & Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $75,000.
• Location Bonus: Up to 12.5%.
• Incentives: Annual safety bonus, employee bonuses, shift bonuses, and shift incentives.
• Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off rotation.
• Relocation Package: Available with a 2-year service commitment.
