Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks across eight property locations. This role requires flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle work orders as they come in. A construction and maintenance schedule will be provided for ongoing projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable transportation to travel between locations.
- Must have own tools (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Schedule & Work Order Process:
- Work orders will be assigned as needed based on tenant/property requests.
- A structured maintenance & construction schedule will be provided for ongoing projects.
- Flexibility is required for urgent repairs and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance and repair requests across multiple locations
- Perform general handyman tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete minor construction and renovation work as required
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain records of work completed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with property management regarding work status and supply needs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in general maintenance and repair work
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Construction background
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
