Job Description

Social Factor is looking for an experienced remote Finance Manager to join the team!  The Finance Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and providing insights to guide budgeting and forecasting. This role combines day-to-day accounting with forward-looking financial analysis, making it an excellent fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Reporting
    • Manage daily bookkeeping and general ledger entries
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
    • Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and bill payments
  • Payroll & Compliance
    • Support biweekly payroll and benefits contributions
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
    • Support year-end audit and tax preparation
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts
    • Monitor variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
    • Support business modeling and scenario analysis for new initiatives
  • Client & Project Support
    • Develop and maintain client cost estimators and profitability models
    • Partner with client teams to ensure accurate project financials and margin tracking
    • Prepare ad hoc financial reports for client pitches, renewals, and strategic planning
  • Financial Operations
    • Maintain relationships with banking partners
    • Support cash flow management and reporting
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
    • Establish scalable best practices for growth  
    • Ability to come in for occasional in person meetings in DFW or Austin area but primarily work from home

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4 years+  of accounting experience (agency or professional services experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software), Excel/Google Sheets; experience with expense management and payroll systems a plus
  • Experience with Sage
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Work with a social media agency, social platform, ad agency or similar industry a plus
