Job Description

Job Summary: The Executive Housekeeper at the Hazard KY Hotel is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This individual will manage a team of housekeeping staff and ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for all guests. The Executive Housekeeper will report directly to the General Manger and will work full-time in a fast paced and dynamic hospitality/restaurant industry.   • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of housekeeping staff
  • Set and maintain high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms and public areas
  • Develop and implement cleaning procedures and checklists
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and address any issues
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely manner
  • Organize and schedule deep cleaning and maintenance projects
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel cleaning and safety standards
  • Manage department budget and expenses
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions
  • Collaborate with management team to implement new policies and procedures
  • Ensure housekeeping staff adhere to all EEOC guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of budget management and inventory control
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
