Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Event Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various events in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position requires someone with a sharp eye for detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proven track record in managing both large-scale and community-focused events. Responsibilities: - Lead the planning and execution of large-scale events, ensuring every detail is meticulously organized. - Secure and manage necessary permits to comply with regulations for event operations. - Coordinate multiple projects at the same time while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. - Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, caterers, and venue representatives. - Oversee logistics for gala events, community gatherings, and other special occasions. - Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions for all aspects of production. - Collect and analyze event data to measure success and identify areas for improvement. - Engage local communities to ensure events are inclusive and impactful. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align event goals with organizational objectives. Requirements - Proven experience in directing large-scale events with successful outcomes. - Familiarity with obtaining and managing permits for event operations. - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills. - Expertise in working with vendors, caterers, hotels, and other service providers. - Knowledge of community engagement strategies and event planning. - Hands-on experience managing gala and community events. - Ability to analyze event data to drive improvements. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
