Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Shift Leader

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Deliver 'Unparalleled Hospitality' to each customer
• Capable of being trained to work each position in the cafe
• Successfully complete the Café Basics Training Program and Certified Trainer Program
• Ensure each station is operating to Tropical Smoothie Cafe's standards
• Use tools to accomplish goals, manage labor, and control inventory
• Responsible for either opening or closing the store to standards
• Handle cash and follow cash handling procedures
• Perform any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience in a food service is strongly preferred
• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines
• Preferred prior/current Serv-Safe certification (or equivalent)
• Current SNHD Food Handlers Card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift
• Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Most shifts are between six to eight hours, but this may vary
• PM Crew can expect to work early evening to closing, weekend and/or holiday hours, and may have additional closing responsibilities
• Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene policies for each shift
• Fun, fast-paced, upbeat environment with no fryers!
