JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined project management and solution implementation for Healthcare Payer clients including technology implementation, software product implementation, technical integrations projects, IT enhancements, technical solution projects, and process improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning including developing project scope, schedule, and budget, managing design and requirements, tracking and managing the development work, managing testing work and serving as the project lead with relevant internal and external stakeholders.The candidate will be accountable for the project delivery within the required timelines and within the approved budget. The candidate will be required to coordinate with client stakeholders, internal stakeholders, business owners, vendors, IT developers, QA testers and other project/delivery managers.
Manages all aspects of project management (planning, budget, requirements, development, testing, acceptance criteria, dependencies & risk) for individual Healthcare Payer projects
Accountable for the overall Project delivery to client within agreed timeframes and budget
Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to complex documents affecting projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, project plans, vendor documents, BRD or requirements, IT development plan, project charters, test design/test plan and test results. Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, work estimates, delivery coordination, work plan schedule & milestones, testing, and risk identification. Leads project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team) providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.Coordinate with delivery managers and Testing managers to drive the development efforts and Testing efforts as needed.
Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings. Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated. Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk. Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks. Demonstrates a knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (business case, larger economic implications, business risk, etc.). Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team). Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.
