Job Title: Corporate Accountant
Location: Laurel, MD (On-site Full-Time)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Accountant with 3–5 years of
corporate accounting experience.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage300 or Sage Intacct and will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including billing, revenue recognition, reconciliations, reporting, and project cost tracking.
This position plays a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting and providing timely information to
management and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and process external billings in accordance with contractual requirements.
● Record and track revenue in compliance with company policies and accounting
standards.
● Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
● Assist in the monthly financial close process, ensuring deadlines are met.
● Prepare and distribute management reports to support informed decision-making.
● Respond to financial inquiries from management, project teams, and external
stakeholders.
● Assist in preparing financial pre-qualification packages for clients and partners.
● Support the accounts payable process, including reviewing and coding invoices.
● Collaborate with Project Managers to track and report project job costs.
● Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in compliance with company
policies.
● 3–5 years of experience as a corporate accountant.
● Experience with Sage 300 or Sage Intacct is preferred.
● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
● Proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel and other Google Drive or Microsoft
Products.
● Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
● Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
