Job Description

Do you like working outdoors, using your hands and skills to build things? Then IOC Company LLC, a major road and highway construction company in south Texas has an opportunity for you! We are looking for individuals who have a passion for construction, like working on a team, and have a safety-first mindset to fill openings in our various construction crews.

Job Duties/Requirements:

Build forms to plan specifications
Set forms on- line and grade
Understand proper safe use of power tools
Concrete placement and able to finish within the plan specifications
Able to follow instructions
Assist with concrete placement
Assist with concrete finishing
General Site clean up
Follow safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Prior experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments
Able to plan and execute work with minimum supervision
Basic understanding of blueprint reading and lay out (transfer levels, off sets, and set points etc.)
Able to identify and differentiate form systems and its components
Must understand level, plumb, area and volume/square concepts
Understand construction terminology
Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
Proven commitment to Safety
Work in an organized manner
Able to work night shifts when needed
Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in all elements (heat, cold, rain).
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots) at all times.
Able to work a flexible shift and overtime as required include night shift if needed
Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part of the job.
