Job Description

To work in the design, development, and evaluation of electrical and software design of components and systems supporting Coats product lines.  Assist in software development, quality control, and general reviews.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Review returned warranty parts, categorize issues, perform data entry, breakdown data, & perform data analysis.
  • Perform testing and analysis on various electronic components to determine failure mode and root cause analysis.
  • Summarize and communicate weekly results to quality and warranty team for further action.
  • Assist in developing test procedures and testing methodologies.
  • Participate in and contribute to software issue tracking and change review
  • Communicate and collaborate with design engineering, service, quality engineering & manufacturing to resolve issues.
  • Support Value Engineering activities
  • Complete a relevant project within the coop time frame
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with all team members.
 
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must meet the Coats Internship Program Application requirements
  • Pursuing BS Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering required
  • Rising Junior or Senior preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel & spreadsheets required
  • Ability to work with limited direction and supervision
  • Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be hands on
