Tax Manager (CPA) - Contract Position for Tax Season
Jacksonville, Florida
$40 - $45 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager (CPA) to join our team on a contract basis during the tax season. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional looking to leverage their CPA qualifications in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
Conduct thorough tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tax preparation.
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and client expectations.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide expert advice on tax-related matters.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and provide strategic tax planning recommendations.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm’s practices are compliant.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.
Extensive experience in tax preparation and review, with a strong knowledge of IRS regulations.
Proven track record of managing multiple tax engagements during busy tax seasons.
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Drake Software, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
