Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager (CPA) to join our team on a contract basis during the tax season. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional looking to leverage their CPA qualifications in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
- Conduct thorough tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tax preparation.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and client expectations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide expert advice on tax-related matters.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and provide strategic tax planning recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm’s practices are compliant.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.
- Extensive experience in tax preparation and review, with a strong knowledge of IRS regulations.
- Proven track record of managing multiple tax engagements during busy tax seasons.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Drake Software, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
