The Senior Nurse Navigator will help lead the BMT and Cellular Therapy Program at this 300+ bed hospital known for it's speciality service lines such as Oncology, Surgical Services, and Pediatrics. The BMT Program Senior Nurse Navigator will reports directly to the Nurse Manager of Transplantation Services. This RN Leader will work with a collaborative leadership team within the Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant, and Cellular Therapy departments. Close coordination with other nurse leaders and therapists ensures that the BMT Program Senior Nurse Navigator has the essential resources and support to succeed.
The BMT Program Senior Nurse Navigator will work in a unit that manages an ever-evolving caseload of Oncology / Hematology patients needing both transplant and cellular therapy services. In this dynamic environment, the BMT Program Senior Nurse Navigator will experience a collaborative atmosphere where providers, nurse practitioners, and supportive professionals come together to deliver exceptional care. The energy in this setting is fast-paced, team-driven, and focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes.
The Nurse Navigator for Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Services will wear a lot of hats in leading this program. You will serve as a coordinator and subject matter expert for healthcare professionals, patients, and families. This person will have the chance to provide expert oversight of allogeneic and autologous recipients, donors, and families through complex treatment processes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The BMT Program Senior Nurse Navigator will educate patients about treatment needs, facilitate triage, and collaborate on clinical process improvements. No direct patient care is required, yet extensive education, support, organization, and communication skills are paramount. Clinical trial or cellular therapy experience is highly valued for this role.
