Job Summary

Part-time position based in Conroe, Texas. Babysitter for entrepreneurial family (children age 8 and 2 years old). We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and nurturing part-time babysitter to join our family. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, demonstrate a high level of responsibility, and be able to create a safe, warm, and stimulating environment in which our children can thrive. There is potential for this part-time role to develop into a full-time position based on the family’s needs and the babysitter’s performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children in the employer’s residence.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Organize age-appropriate recreational activities.
• Assist with homework and educational activities.
• Assist with occasional drop-offs or pickups at school or preschool.
• Adhere to the children’s routine schedule for sleeping and eating.
• Administer first aid in emergencies.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as related to the children’s care.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a babysitter or related role.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (preferable).
• Knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods.
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child health, safety, and hygiene.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle childcare responsibilities with patience and kindness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a drug and background check.
• Must have a professional demeanor and respect confidentiality.
• Reliable transportation required.

Candidate must be able and willing to work in-person at our home in Conroe, Texas. This is a part-time contract position with the potential to evolve into full-time based on performance and the family’s needs. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and may occasionally be asked to work additional hours. Employment will likely be directly by the family, not necessarily by the company name shown in the description.
